Hi, can we be friends
I've learned that even though I sometimes think i'm not good enough for anybody, others sometimes see me as being an arrogant cocky ass...
which is more true? my perception of myself, or others perception of me?
does this mean i'm a self loathing nothing, and at the same time an arrogant prick?
probably not, but i'm sure i'm somewhere in between those two extremes.

Perceived truth
A young man that has just started his family has a small farm with one horse. One day the horse runs away and the man sadly cries, God why did you take my horse from me, I need him to help plow the fields, and to get to town. The Next day the man’s Horse comes back with another Horse and the man happily cheers to God, thank you lord for providing me with another horse. On the third day while the man tries to break the wild horse he is thrown from it and breaks his leg, and again the man cries out, God why do you hate me so to let this happen to me? the next day a great war has begun and all the young men are called to duty, except the injured, old, and sick…
The man sees his horse as leaving as bad, but then something good comes from it.
The man sees the the new horse as being good, then his mind / or his perception of what is true changes when he breaks his leg, and once again his truth changes when they come needing young healthy men for war.
The point of this is that the events that are perceived as good and bad or truly neither, or both depending on how and when you precieve them.
When the horse is gone it seems bad, when it returns with another horse it seems good, etc…
the truth of a situation, experience or action can never be truly known...

Service work is anything that makes carrying the message possible.
the message is the first 164 pages of the book.
suggested program of recovery are the 12 steps.
The basic text that contains the message.
the base of the triangle before the fellowship.
the people that are allowed in the room that haven't heard the message. what about people that think they have heard the message in treatment?
the traditions are for the group, what the steps are for the individual.
selfless program for really selfish people.
alcoholism is what you are left with once the booze and the drugs are out of your system. It's what starts to come to the surface after any length of sobriety, 30, 60. 90 days
however long the period of step 0 lasts.
Step 0, what does that mean? are you at step 0?
you find what you seek. When you seek God you will find him, when you seek drunkeness you will find it.
the ability to do something unique and original and not something that is a copy of a copy of a copy... Do not conform to any certain existing style, be who you are, be who God would have you be.
An expression, to convey and IDEA or thought.
thought, work, action. We have to take action, follow the desires of your heart, do what you can with what you have and leave the results up to God.

Questions and thoughts today.
Observe good faith and justice towards all nations. Cultivate peace and harmony with all. "George W."
this is a quote from a past leader of the united states. think about this for a minute, pause and close your eyes. Imagine how we americans would be viewed if our foriegn policy matched what this statement says. you reap what you sew, therefore if you cultivate peace and harmony you shall reap it.
Fear is what is our driver today, not only in our foreign policies, but in the average americans lives. People fear their employers, fear their neighbors.
Mistake "An action or judgment that is misguided or wrong"
people who do not learn from their mistakes are doomed to repeat them. Is the war on terror a mistake, did we take action that was misguided or wrong? these are big, huge, even monstrous questions, when people live in fear, their thoughts and decisions are based on the fear they live in. The attack on September 11, 2001 was but a tiny blip in the sense of catastrophe seen around the world, whether natural or man made.
the country I live in today is full of Pride and ego, we believe we are RIGHT, we know what is best for others, so we want to 'help' others to live better, like we do. \
What can you control?
what can we control?
who are 'we'?
some say that the Questions that get asked of you in AA are not to be answered, but rather they are to be experienced. hmm. Can you stop an think, rather then answer a question?
miracle vs accomplishment
miracle is by the hand of God
accomplishment is something you achieved by work.

Figuring out what this is all about really.
My journey in life is really just beginning now, I can see what my purpose is much more clearly then I have ever been able to.
Here are some thoughts:
Build a Great work of art with your life for others to appreciate.
what you do should not be about yourself.
What can I do for OTHERS today.
STOP worrying about yourself.
Don't forget the things that REALLY matter in your life today.

Short examination on Faith
What is faith exactly, is it a belief, is it loyalty? People have faith everyday without realization of this fact.
Here are the first three definitions of Faith
1. confidence or trust in a person or thing: faith in another's ability.
2. belief that is not based on proof: He had faith that the hypothesis would be substantiated by fact.
3. belief in god or in the doctrines or teachings of religion: the firm faith of the Pilgrims.
Here is the origin of the word as well.
Origin:
1200–50; Middle English feith < Anglo-French fed, Old French feid, feit < Latin fidem, accusative of fidēs trust, akin to fīdere to trust. See Trust
As a child must trust his parents to feed him, clothe him, and take care of his basic needs why do adults have such a difficult time having trust in something they don't understand, or see? Do you think about God in terms of a religious view? your Christ, or your Catholic God?
Why do most of us think we need to KNOW and UNDERSTAND everything about God in order to be willing to believe that there is some sort of God?
